GEELEC INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL ACADEMY
TERMS & CONDITIONS

Lack of knowledge of these rules will not relieve any coach, team official, parent or player of this Academy or seeking entry into this Academy programs from the responsibilities and possible penalties herein. All players, team officials and parents by their signing of the Academy entry form agree that they are bound by these rules.

 ADMINISTRATION

110:     Housekeeping: Gee-Lec International Football Academy staff has the authority to renumber the Academy Rules & Regulations and to update nomenclature that has changed because of sponsorship change.

            Academy: The Academy Program is the select developmental program for boys teams   from U15 through U20. The Academy administers only traditional play.

 PARTICIPATION

140.1:  Each player that intends to enroll in to this Academy must obtain the Academy entry form.
The player must undertake a screening exercise before he can be admitted in to the Academy.

140.2:  Players must sign the Academy Declaration form. Failure to sign the form may result in non-acceptance of the player even if he passes the screening exercise.

Once a player is accepted in to the Academy, no registered player may directly or indirectly contact any other team or Academy until the Academy declares him as no more it player.

Select Programs: A condition of entry of a player in to the Academy. Required fields meant to be sign on both the entry and parent consent forms must be appropriately signed and failure to provide the signed forms may result in the player not being admitted.

 ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES

150.1:  Any questions on rules, policies, and procedures of the Academy should be addressed to the admin for resolution.

 PLAYER AGE CLASSIFICATION

170.2a:A player must be at least 14 years of age to apply in to the Academy and no older than 22 years of age will be admitted.

170.2b:An U15 player may play on an older age team, but U17 may not play on a younger age team.

170.2c:Proof of age must be presented if deemed necessary. Proof of age shall consist of a birth certificate or birth registration issued by an appropriate governmental agency, Board of Health records, passport, alien registration card issued by the appropriate Nigerian agency, certificate issued by the Immigration and Naturalization Service attesting to age, or a certification of an Nigerian born abroad, issued by the appropriate government agency. Hospital, baptismal or religious certificates will not be accepted.

 PLAYER REGISTRATION

180.1:  Only a player properly registered with the Academy may be allowed to enter in to the Academy training pitch or selected programs.

 SPORTSMANSHIP

710:     Conduct

710.1:  All that is dishonorable and unsporting is particularly and expressly condemned.

710.1a:All persons in authority will conduct themselves in a manner that will not contribute to the delinquency of players.

710.1b:Gee-Lec International Football Academy encourages moral and social responsibility.

710.2:  Any player or coach guilty of such violations will be subject to disciplinary action by the Academy.

710.3:  Rules of conduct to be adhered to by players and coaches at all the Academy events are:

710.3a:Offensive, insulting, and abusive language will not be tolerated, either on field of play or in field’s general area.

710.3b:Unsporting conduct will not be tolerated.

710.3c:Respect for referee, coaches and team mates either on field or in field’s general area,    must be shown by all.

710.3d:Punctuality by players must be practiced.

710.3e:Dangerous play must not be taught or encouraged. All players must be taught to “play the ball” and not the “man”.

710.3f: Proper respect for opposing/visiting teams and spectators must be exhibited by all.

710.3g:Alcoholic beverages will not be permitted in the general area of the field.

710.4:  Coaches are responsible for the conduct of their players, team representatives and spectators.

710.5:  Physical violence, foul and abusive language, harassment of players or referees WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.

710.6:  The use of noise-making or amplifying devices is PROHIBITED.

710.7:  Such conduct will be reported by the coaches or other Academy officials.

 MISCONDUCT

730.1:  Coaches must submit written reports of all game/players misconduct within 48 hours after a game or training session

730.1a:Coaches should submit a written incident report to the Chairman of the Academy regarding all games or training session misconduct issues within 72 hours when such happens.

730.1b:Coaches who elect not to submit a written incident report within 72 hours of the game or training session that such misconduct occur shall have themselves to blame.

Coaches are not permitted to have any contact with players.
