(President/Founder)

ABOUT THE PRESIDENT AND FOUNDER OF GEE-LEC INT. F.A

PRESIDENT:  Gee-Lec International Football Academy President, Mr. Izzul-Arab Garba was born in Jos, Nigeria. While growing up, Mr. Arab has always had a passion to assist young men to become productive members of the society particularly the less privileged.

While sports in general remain Mr. Arabs’ passion, it was in the pursuit of his dream he made one of his great achievements.

Having completed his tertiary education from University of Jos, he went ahead to acquire a Certification in Sports Administration from Sports Management Worldwide (SMWW), an online sports job education and sports career training Institution.

However his business oriented mind led to the establishment of his company ARAB-GEE NIGERIA LMITED in 2006.

As the CEO of ARAB-GEE NIG. LTD. he has numerous years of executive management experience in General Contracting.

His portfolio consists of extensive expertise, ranging from Computer Administration and transport management with AGI Motors where he set a track record of building, leading and implementing the strategic goals and objectives of AGI’s transport division. Mr. Izzul-Arab has set the tone and attitude of ARAB-GEE NIG. LTD. as an organization during its most critical start-up phase and overall, primary management role in AGNL.

His experience also spans across Contract Negotiation and Compliance, Managing Import & Export, Mining, functional Sports Business Management and business analysis.

Mr Izzul-Arab Garba initially picked interest in soccer with philanthropic aim of trying to contribute to the Nigerian society by trying to contribute to grassroots football development through identifying young talent and taking them off the street and making them focus on football rather than involving in crime, drugs or violence.

It is to this end that Mr Izzul-Arab Garba decided to establish this Youth Football Academy alongside his brother whom was a professional football player in the person of Babawo Adamu Muhammed, where these young talented lads are giving special attention and training in football.

In the face of untold hardship, ignorance, unemployment and poverty which have gripped African youths, football has proven to be an effective source of employment, empowerment and poverty eradication to talented African youths.

Having noticed this, we decided to explore this avenue in order to monetize the talent of these young players which will be of great benefits to them, their family members and the Nigerian society in general.

This effort of ours has so far been able to yield positive results in the sense that we are today proud to say that this The Academy we established has successfully been able to assist some of these players secure professional football employment in so many clubs in the Nigerian local league as well as transfer quite a number of them to various clubs across Europe.

Having worked hard to establish a reputation for leading and managing, Mr Arab also explore another opportunity to extend on the success he’s already achieved with the youth. Noticing that not all the Academy players will have the success of securing and signing a professional football contract, Mr Arab decided to establish an NGO called Organized Centre for Youth Empowerment and Community Development.

The primary aim and objective of this NGO is to train the players of the Academy as well as other youth from within our local communities and environs on vocational & skill acquisition jobs to enable both the players and other youths of our communities to make self-sufficient growth through entrepreneurial development that will in turn yield value to the Nation at large.

Mr President hope to continue impacting on the lives of the youths around him especially the less privileged through various initiatives in order to continue to empower them to become productive members of the society.
