HISTORY OF THE ACADEMY

The coins is incomplete without the other side to it, similarly development of Football in our society without the full consideration of the grassroots at various educational levels will lead to a devastating state in the mind of our youth, there by resulting to a waste in workforce which will in turn affect the socio- economic development of our great Nation.

GEE-LEC Academy has been on for years now under the able supervision of the President Mr. Izzul Arab   Garba,   a   renowned   business   man   and p h i l a n t h r o p i s t   a n d   C h a i r m a n   M r.   Babawo Muhammed Adamu, a.k.a Lecturer, a professional footballer. These two individuals are silently contributing to grassroots football development by taking giant step of identifying and helping talent off the street and making them focus on football rather than involving in crime and drugs.

The academy, at the initial set-up was not formerly represented, but has achieved great deal of success by ways of grooming the players to stardom.

The management team has organized various group stage championships for young talent. They have won several laurels and exposed many players that are today in various clubs in Nigeria as well as our national team, thereby putting smiles to the faces of millions of viewers across the globe.

The organization has given award and academic scholarship to more than twelve players some are at the final stage of completing their education.

Today, Gee-Lec is formerly and properly registered with the relevant body, PFA. CAC and NFF ready to continue to expose players globally and to protect provide a strong and effective Youth Programme, for the management and development of young footballers within Jos City in Nigeria.

The football Academy is an official football Academy (soccer school) and club based in Jos, Plateau State in the central Northern part of Nigeria

The establishment of a Football Academy, which is in line with the Nigeria Football Federation, is a means of preparing young and exceptional players, who are desirous of playing the round leather to stardom,

The establishment of an Academy will ensure that there is continuity for the players from the ages of 13-21, without the interference with their academics pursuit.

Our aim is to see more players’ progress through to our National League/National team and to play professional across the globe.

The Academy will continue to drive forward in our quest to become the most successful and respected Academy in the country.
